The cosmetic industry, like many others, regularly sacrifices to a practice which consists in rewarding what one believes to be the best. There are now a large number of these ceremonies where we congratulate ourselves collectively. The “Prix d’Excellence” created over 30 years ago by inspired beauty journalists whom I have known well, are still a highly anticipated and much sought after reference by brands. Where did the idea come from? Beauty journalists who by regularly discussing their jobs and products have found that they have the same opinions or not … So why not award prizes? Bravo to Marie Claire magazine for maintaining this tradition.
